/Lead) Analyst I (II) in Advanced Analytics is responsible for providing quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities to assure the reliable, economic, and coordinated operation of the PJM Interconnection in accordance with PJM Operating Principles and Standards and applicable Regional and NERC Operating Policies.
Essential Functions:
The primary focus of the work in the Advanced Analytics department:
Lead PJM special studies to determine the impact of current/future business rules, industry trends, etc.
Conduct descriptive analytical efforts such as markets and operations analysesDevelop solutions to predictive analytical problems using machine learning techniquesCollaborate with internal and external business partners to work on challenging problemsThe support functions of this position:
Data analysis to support PJM's compliance with FERC Order 760Other role(s) - Support writing PJM papers, material for PJM board and internal forums & applicable stakeholder effortsCharacteristic &
Qualifications:
Required:
BS, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or Equivalent work experience0-5 years of experienceAbility to produce high-quality work products with attention to detailExperience in quantitative and qualitative analysisAbility to use mathematical and electrical theoryAbility to troubleshoot and provide technical supportAbility to apply economic and statistical theory to complex market problemsAbility to visualize and solve complex problemsExperience in analyzing large volumes of data and creating summary reports.
Ability to apply analytical and mathematical solutionsPreferredMS, Engineering, Mathematics or Data SciencePhD.
